Twilio – Account Set Up

With a Twilio account, owners can now send reminder clean text or Auto Dialer messages to their customers.   $20 = about 2,000 messages!


  • Auto-Dialer - .0013 per min
  • Text - .0079 per message
  • Phone number - $1.15 a month


TO CREATE OWNER ACCOUNT


Bring up owners CLEO account


Under the SETTINGS TAB, select User Define Values, and click on VENDOR

 

This will bring up the DEFAULT info for Twilio (not real).  You need to create a Twilio account to get the info for below (you will COPY/PASTE it in)

  • From Phone#
  • Account SID
  • Auth Token


Need before start

  • Credit Card
  • Cell phone
  • CLEO open to Settings/User Defined Values/Vendor


Log on to Twilio, click the BLUE button SIGN UP (far right)



Type in your info, click the I am not a Robot button, click the RED Get Started button

  • First Name:  your first name
  • Last Name: your last name
  • Email: email that you want attached to the twilio account ((Twilio will send a VERIFY YOUR IDENTY email asking you to verify your account request)l
  • Password:  follow Twilio guidelines


Click the box accepting Twilio Terms of Service


Click Start your free trial

You will receive a verification request to your email. 


Open the email and verify your account by following the instructions.


Once confirmed, you will be redirected to enter your phone number.


Enter YOUR cell phone for the VERIFICATION code.  A code will be texted to you, enter the code that was just texted to you


  • Which Twilio product are you here to use:  Choose SMS
  • What do you plan to build with Twilio:  select Customer Loyalty
  • How do you want to build with Twilio:  Choose with no code at all
  • What is your goal today:  Choose 3rd party integration Click start trial

Twilio will now walk you through the setup.

YOU do not want a TOLL FREE phone (doesn’t work with CLEO)


Click the GET A NUMBER button (on bottom!)

A number will automatically display, this is typically not going to be a local number, we recommend you search for a different number so you can select one with the same area code as your office

 

Make sure to choose a number that has voice, SMS and MMS capabilities.

Select Buy



Click Buy on the number you would like to use.


Click the Upgrade Button in the upper left hand corner of the browser


Fill Main Address with your office address


Click continue


Input payment method and credit card information and Fund your account.

Now COPY/PASTE the info to CLEO


  • From Phone#
  • Account SID
  • Auth Token


To copy the Account SID and Auth Token, click on the paper icon to the right (it auto does a CTL C), now go to CLEO and delete the current info and PASTE in the new info

Once you are done in CLEO…SAVE it!!


Setting up the account if someone were to call the number, it will be redirected to the office number


Search for Studio


Click Create a flow and name the flow (example:  call forwarding)

Type in your office number under Single number



Click Publish



Set up the preferred flow


Go back to main menu and click on Active Numbers


Click on Phone number

Go to Voice & Fax and go to A CALL COMES IN


Choose studio flow and then choose the appropriate work flow


 


 Click Save at the bottom.
