The following document will walk you though the process of setting up Twilio and Cleo for Two Way Texting. Setting up Two Way Texting is a two-part process where in Part 1 we will configure Twilio and Part 2 consists of turning on the two-way functionality within Cleo itself.
Twilio Configuration:
1. Log into your Twilio Account - https://www.twilio.com/login
2. Navigate to your Twilio phone number by clicking Phone Numbers (1) ; Manage; Active Numbers (2). Click your number within the list (3). In most cases you will only have one number listed.
3. In the phone number properties setting screen scroll down to the “Messaging” section and in the “A Message Comes In” Verify/Add the following settings:
- First Drop Down – Webhook
- 2nd Field Add this URL: http://ssismsuser:ssismsuser!@cleomessageapi.servantia.com/api/ReceiveText/TextResponse
- Third Field – HTTP POST
4. Lastly, click the save button to save your changes. This completes the setup process in Twilio for Two Way texting feature within Cleo.
Cleo Configuration:
1. In Cleo navigate to Settings>User Defined Values > Communication Tab. Click the box next to “Enable Two Way Texting” then click “Save”.
2. Once you have clicked save have everyone in the office close out of and reopen Cleo for Two Way Texting functionality to appear.
